Waters: The Science of What's Possible

Introducing

IonHance

LC (Liquid Chromatography) separations of peptides during characterization widely benefit from the use of various mobile phase additives for improved signal, resolution, and peak shape.

Using difluoroacetic acid (DFA) as an ion-pairing agent achieves a balance between the optical peak shape and the MS response desired in peptide LC-UV/MS-based workflows. As a weaker acid than TFA, DFA will not suppress ions or contaminate the MS system. But as a stronger acid than FA, DFA will resolve peaks and improve symmetry of UV detection.

IonHance DFA Mobile Phase Additive

Waters IonHance DFA is a unique, cross-platform, mobile-phase additive designed for Biopharmaceutical scientists performing optical and/or mass detection who need to characterize peptides and proteins.
