Abstract:
The operator of a filmcoating process typically has no control over the properties of tablet core and filmcoating material. Thorough understanding of the filmcoating process is, therefore, essential for the quality of the final, coated product. This lunch and learn will map out the variables in the coating process and show their interdependence. Guidance will be given for a rational set up of coating processes.

Speaker Bio: Dr. Gernot Warnke, the Head of R&D at JRS PHARMA, has a wealth of experience including a PhD in pharmaceutical technology and a total of 17 years in the health science industry. Before joining at the team at JRS PHARMA, he held several roles in the industry including: Product Manager, Application Technologist, Techno-Commercial Area Manager, Technical Sales Manager, and Head of European Filmcoating Laboratory. Gernot leads a global team, located primarily in the US and Germany, and focuses on developing innovative excipients and providing technical support to customers.
