Automated Extraction of Cortisone and Prednisolone from Human Plasma
The automated extraction of cortisone and prednisolone from human plasma using Novum SLE 96-well plates along with Tecan's Freedom EVO® 100 liquid handler yields quantitative recovery of both cortisone and prednisolone. The analytical method using a Kinetex core-shell Biphenyl HPLC/UHPLC column with MS-MS detection shows good selectivity for the two isomeric compounds.

Accurate Pain Management Analysis
Pain management analyses using liquid chromatography can be difficult to optimize because of the limited selectivity of C18 and phenyl-hexyl phases. In contrast, the selectivity of Raptor™ Biphenyl superficially porous particle (SPP) LC columns provides complete resolution of isobaric pain medications with a total cycle time of 5 min.

LC-MS-MS Method for Psychedelic Phenethylamine “2C” Series on a SELECTRA® DA HPLC Column
A new group of "2C" compounds – belonging to the psychoactive phenethylamine class of designer drug – has recently emerged on the market known as the N-methoxybenzyl (‘NBOMe) derivatives of substituted phenethylamine. This application note outlines an LC-MS-MS method using a unique polyaromatic phase to separate 16 "2C" compounds in under 10 min. Download the app note |

Investigating the Effect of Molecular Size, Weight, and Structure on Product Performance
A selection of different PLA and PLGA polymer samples were analyzed on Malvern's OMNISEC GPC/SEC system, which combines multiple advanced detectors to provide information about structure and solution properties. The data shown in this application note allows clear differentiation between different compositions of PLGA by the different properties the samples exhibit in solution. These differences will affect product performance such as degradation and drug delivery rates.
