LCGC TV: Eliminating Matrix Effects: LC–MS Analysis of Biological Fluids
A single drop of blood represents a complex mixture of biological compounds including phospholipids, proteins, and salts. Frederic Lynen of Ghent University in Belgium discusses why LC–MS is the ideal analytical tool for the quantitative analysis of analytes in biological samples. Lynen also presents a new HILIC-based SPE approach to improve analyte recovery and sensitivity by removing phospholipids from samples. |
