| ADHD Across the Ages: Focus on the Child Children with ADHD have higher rates of academic difficulties, social issues, and a number of comorbid psychiatric conditions. Applying the diagnostic criteria and unraveling the complexities of real-world patients can present a serious challenge to all clinicians. The goal of this activity is to improve knowledge and performance through utilization of evidence-based guidelines and current research on the diagnosis and long-term management of children and adolescents with ADHD. Upon completion, participants should be able to integrate established practice parameters, screening tools, and clinical observation in the diagnosis of ADHD and the differentiation of ADHD with and without comorbid psychiatric symptoms and/or behavioral disorders; routinely assess response to ADHD therapy using structured monitoring tools; develop a comprehensive, individualized, and evidence-based treatment plan. » Go to this activity |
