Epidemiology and Prevention of Vaccine-Preventable Diseases Series 2010
This CDC activity provides the most current information in the constantly changing field of immunization and is updated annually to provide a comprehensive overview on immunization based on the latest recommendations from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Each session includes case studies and a discussion of frequently-asked questions on each topic. Nine modules are presented, each 60 to 90 minutes in length and separately accredited.
• Module 1 - Principles of vaccination, immunization schedules and timing and spaces of vaccines.
• Module 2 - Contraindications and precautions, screening, adverse reactions, vaccine safety, vaccine administration and vaccine storage and handling
• Module 3 - DTaP, Tdap
• Module 4 - Hib, pneumococcal
• Module 5 - MMR
• Module 6 - Varicella, zoster
• Module 7 - Hepatitis A, hepatitis B
• Module 8 - Influenza, rotavirus
• Module 9 - Polio, meningococcal, HPV
