Primary care access for new patients depends on insurance type, study says

Access to primary care services for new Affordable Care Act and Medicaid enrollees varies widely among ten states and depending on what type of insurance patients have. More patient visits means better medication adherence, study says

That implication flows from a newly-published study examining factors associated with greater risk for non-adherence to prescription regimens. It finds that more patient visits with the prescribing physician is associated with increased adherence.
